Be Clear and Direct:

When you compose your Email messages, remember that your readers are busy people. Many are working professionals with many responsibilities and demands on their time, and therefore, don’t have time to figure out what you’re offering.

Your readers are impatient, too; they don’t want a tease, a “clever” anecdote leading up to the main point. Be direct and succinct. Start with a clear statement of what you’re offering. Here are some examples of effective openings, that are concise and which effectively grab the reader’s attention by beginning with a question and then offering a solution:

“Are you feeling tired and rundown? Discover energy-boosting natural and healthy Coffee!”

“Are you looking for a realistic way to improve your lifestyle, spend more quality time with your family, a secure retirement, or an opportunity to be your own boss and set your own hours? Find out how you can achieve all this and more …click here!”

Personalize your emails:

Personalizing your Emails will increase their effectiveness. Prospects are more open to you if you address them by their names. You will then be able to develop a stronger bond with potential customers, and when used properly. Personalizing your Emails will dramatically increase the number of responses to your auto-responder campaign messages, and increase the likelihood that prospects will help spread the word about your products and business opportunity by referring their friends, family and business associates to your website.

Personalization has been gaining ground among Internet marketers. According to a recent study, the number of firms personalizing their commercial opt-in emails has grown tremendously. Several tools in the market allow you to easily personalize emails with a few mouse clicks.

Provide an option to unsubscribe:

Avoid beginning Email messages with lengthy reminders to visitors that they have opted in to your Email list and detailed instructions on how to opt out. However, do provide a brief Notice referencing the source of their name as well as the location of the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each of your Email messages. For example…

“You are receiving this Email because we were provided your name and Email address on an Opt-In Email list recently purchased from XYZ Company. If you have forgotten, or were unaware that you were opting into this list to receive information about our life-changing products and home-base business opportunity, please accept our apologies. To be immediately removed from this list, please click on the Unsubscribe Link at the bottom of this Email and follow the simple instructions.”

The above statement is an important courtesy that communicates your integrity and respect for your web site visitors’ privacy. However, it should be left until the end of the message and well after you have offered your products, services and/or business opportunity.

Avoid “Spamming”:

Sending unsolicited email (“spam”) is illegal, and only individuals who have given their permission to receive your offer should be included in your email advertising and marketing campaigns.

If you question whether you are sending legitimate email, then you probably shouldn’t send it. There are many legitimate Marketing methods that have much better results then just sending emails to a list of unknown prospects. You definitely do NOT want to be reported for sending unsolicited commercial Email known as “UCE” or “Spam. Make sure you are sending to legitimate prospects who want to receive it.
